Taylor’s help getting our revised restaurant renewal process up and running has been truly incredible. You may not know this about Somerville but we have a zoning ordinance that favors small businesses, and almost all of our licensees are not funded by chains. The work to make their annual renewals easier relieves them of unnecessary stress and frees up their time to focus on their businesses, not paperwork. I had a few ideas to further improve the document upload process and Taylor was able to figure out ways to make them work. In one week, we have around 15% of our renewals complete and licenses issued–it’s such a major improvement from years past it almost doesn’t seem real!
